MASCAC All-Conference Teams Announced

Marazzi selected to second team

Fitchburg, Mass. – Senior guard Angelina Marazzi (Manchester, N.H.) was named to the 2019-20 Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) All-Conference Second Team as announced by the conference office on Wednesday

Marazzi earned a spot on the second team after posting a team-best 401 points on 37.1% shooting (137-for-369) from the field as well leading the Falcons in steals with 40. The third-year guard also netted 126 rebounds, 64 assists and two blocked shots in 26 contests for the Green and Gold.

Framingham State senior Mary Kate O'Day was named MASCAC Women's Basketball Player of the Year, while Rams freshman Flannery O'Conner earned MASCAC Women's Basketball Rookie of the Year honors.

Framingham State Head Coach Walter Paschal collected MASCAC Women's Basketball Coach of the Year accolades to round out the major award winners.

In addition to O'Day, the first team was comprised of Framingham State's Emily Velozo, Melissa Gray and Chelsea Moussette from Westfield State and Mya Mosley of Worcester State. Joining Marazzi and O'Connor on the second team were Destiny Fitzgerald of Bridgewater State, Courtney Paschal of Salem State and Gigi LeMay from Worcester State.

The Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference, the nation's first Division III men's and women's playing conference, has a rich and storied tradition of competitive success while celebrating excellence in the classroom. MASCAC core member schools include Bridgewater State University, Fitchburg State University, Framingham State University, MCLA, Massachusetts Maritime Academy, Salem State University, Westfield State University and Worcester State University. Two other institutions, the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth and Plymouth State University, are affiliate members of the conference in the sports of football and men's ice hockey, while Western Connecticut State University joined the conference as an affiliate member in football beginning in 2013-14.
