Women's Basketball Suffers Non-Conference Loss to JWU
FITCHBURG, MA: The Fitchburg State women's basketball team lost to the Johnson & Wales Wildcats in non-conference play this evening.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- JWU came out of the gate, firing up three-point shots in the first half, hitting 11-of-19 for 57.9%. Between the first two quarters, their shooting percentage didn't drop below 54.2%, and they went 23-of-43 (53.4%) from the floor. Isabella Suero and Grace Jaffray played key roles in the Wildcats success this evening. Suero topped all scorers with 27 points. Jaffray was just behind her with 24 points, six rebounds, and four assists. Brianne Foley and Madison Clark also put up big numbers, with Foley finishing with 15 points and nine rebounds and Clark finishing with 13 points and four rebounds.
- The Falcons concluded the game just one point below their season average of 63 points. They shot well, finishing the game with a respectable 34.4% (22-64) from the floor. They could not keep up with the three-point performance of JWU, who had 15 threes compared to the Falcons three. Stephanie Hart (Shirley, MA) topped Fitchburg tonight with 13 points and 13 rebounds, marking her seventh double-double and tenth game with double-digit rebounds. Rylie Harlow (Hanson, MA) contributed 11 points and six rebounds.
