Miele Earns MASCAC Women’s Lacrosse Rookie Of The Week Honors

South Hadley, Mass. native collects first weekly honor of the season

Fitchburg, Mass. – Fitchburg State freshman attacker Julia Miele (South Hadley, Mass.) was recently tabbed Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Women's Lacrosse Rookie of the Week as announced by the conference office on Monday afternoon.

The first-year Falcons picks up her first weekly accolade on the year after posting five points on four goals and one assist as well as seven draw controls and six groundballs in three contests for the Green and Gold.

Julia registered one goal and two draw controls in a 15-5 setback to Carroll University on Monday before adding two scores and one draw control in a loss to SUNY Canton on Tuesday. Miele concluded the week with one goal and one helper to go along with six groundballs and four draw controls in a setback to Smith College on Thursday evening at the Spring Fling Games in Englewood, Fla.

The Fitchburg State Women's Lacrosse Team (1-3) returns to action on Tuesday as it travels to Regis College for a non-conference matchup, starting at 7:00 PM
