Marshall Named MASCAC Women’s Soccer Rookie Of The Week

Taunton, Mass. native collects first weekly honor of the season

FITCHBURG, Mass. – Fitchburg State freshman forward Elicia Marshall (Taunton, Mass./Taunton) was tabbed Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Women's Soccer Rookie of the Week as announced by the conference office on Monday afternoon.

The first-year forward posted a game-best seven points on three scores, including her first collegiate marker as well as one helper in the Falcons 7-2 season opening triumph over the Wildcats of Bay Path College at Ryan Field on Friday afternoon.

The Fitchburg State women's soccer team (1-0, 0-0 MASCAC) returns to action on Tuesday as it travels to Becker College to take on the Hawks for a non-conference matchup, starting at 4:00 PM.
