Five Falcon Facts With Nicole Sylvester and Camden McLaughlin

NICOLE SYLVESTER – SOPHMORE

Q: Why did you choose Fitchburg State University?

A: “I liked the class size, specifically how small it was. And I was coming here for softball so I liked how close and welcoming the team was.” 

Q: What do you study at the school?

A: “Elementary education because I love being around children.”

Q: What song pumps you up before a game?

A: “X’ Gon Give it to Yah by DMX. That song really gets me going.”

Q: What is your favorite holiday?

A: “Thanksgiving because of all the food.”

Q: Which person in history would you want to meet?

A: “Beyoncé. She’s the Queen.”

 

CAMDEN MCLAUGHLIN – FRESHMAN

Q: Why did you choose Fitchburg State University?

A: “I always wanted to play soccer in college, this was a close school, the coach was fantastic with recruiting and I absolutely loved the team.” 

Q: What is your favorite place on campus?

A: “My favorite place to be is the dining hall. There’s always a nice social aspect in there.”

Q: What is your go-to meal at Daka?

A: “Chicken Cesar salad in a wrap.”

Q: What is your favorite sport besides soccer?

A: “Football. I watch it all season-long and I’m a big fan of the New England Patriots and New Orleans Saints.”

Q: If you could be one person in history, who would it be and why?

A: “I would want to be Wayne Grestky. Not only for being one of the greats all-time, but for being a pioneer of the sport and changing how the game was played.”
