Morse Selected LEC Goalkeeper Of The Week
Leominster, Mass. native earns first weekly honor of the year
Fitchburg, Mass. – Fitchburg State sophomore goalkeeper Jenna Morse (Leominster, Mass.) was recently tabbed Little East Conference (LEC) Field Hockey Goaltender of the Week as announced by the conference office on Monday afternoon.
The first year Falcon picks up her first weekly accolades on the season after making 29 saves with a .853 save percentage over two games for the Green and Gold. Morse turned aside 11 shots in a 3-1 setback to Westfield State on Wednesday before adding a career-best 18 save effort in a 2-0 loss to Eastern Connecticut State on Saturday morning.
The Fitchburg State field hockey team returns to action tomorrow as they travel to Keene State to take on the Owls for a Little East Conference matchup, starting at 6:30 PM.
