Eight Falcons Selected To LEC All-Academic Team
Alto, Ganley, Kerr, Lamprey, Jes Morse, Jen Morse, Piper & Spadafore earn LEC accolades
Fitchburg, Mass. – Eight members of the Fitchburg State Field Hockey team were recently named to the 2021 Little East Conference Fall All-Academic team as announced by the league office on Friday afternoon.
Sophomores Sydney Alto (Chelmsford, Mass,), Sophia Piper (Chelmsford, Mass.), Jessica Morse (Leominster, Mass.), Emma Ganley (Auburn, Mass.), and Jenna Morse (Leominster, Mass.) as well as juniors Lena Spadafore (Lunenburg, Mass.), Grace Kerr (Holliston, Mass.) and Colleen Lamprey (Cherry Valley, Mass.) were all named to the 2021 LEC All-Academic Team.
Members of the 2021 LEC All-Academic team must achieve a cumulative GPA of 3.3 or higher through the 2020spring semester and be at least a sophomore academically and athletically. The student-athlete must also be a full-time member of a varsity sport and be enrolled in its institution for a full academic year.
The Fitchburg State field hockey team concluded its 2021 campaign with an overall record of 2-16 and a 1-11 mark in the LEC.
