Fortin Selected MASCAC Ice Hockey Player Of The Week

Westerville, Ohio native nets first weekly accolade on the season

Fitchburg, Mass. – Fitchburg State junior forward Hunter Fortin (Westerville, Ohio) was recently named Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Ice Hockey Player of the Week as announced by the conference office on Monday.

The third-year forward totaled four points on two goals and two assists in a 3-0 week for Fitchburg State. Fortin notched one marker in a 4-0 win over Plymouth State on Tuesday before collecting one goal and one helper for the Green and Gold in a 6-3 triumph against Salem State on Thursday.

Hunter finished the week with one assist in a 6-3 victory against Westfield State on Saturday.

The Fitchburg State ice hockey team (9-4-0, 7-2-0 MASCAC) returns to action tomorrow as they host the Rams of Framingham State in MASCAC action, starting at 3:30 PM.
