Harty Tabbed MASCAC Ice Hockey Rookie Of The Week

Billerica, Mass. native collects second weekly accolade on the year

FITCHBURG, Mass. – Fitchburg State freshman forward Thomas Harty (Billerica, Mass.) was selected Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Ice Hockey Player of the Week as announced by the conference office on Monday.

The first-year Falcon totaled four points on one goal and three assists in a 1-0-1 week for the Green and Gold. Harty posted three points on one goal and two helpers in a 4-1 triumph over Westfield State on Thursday before adding one assist in a 3-3, overtime draw with Worcester State on Saturday.

The Fitchburg State ice hockey team (17-5-1, 14-3-1 MASCAC) returns to action on Saturday as they host the Rams of Framingham State in the MASCAC quarterfinal, starting at 5:00 PM.
