Coelho Tabbed MASCAC Men’s Soccer Player of the Week

Framingham, Mass. native collects first weekly honor of the season

Fitchburg, Mass. – Fitchburg State senior midfielder Raphael Coelho (Framingham, Mass.) was recently named Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Men's Soccer Player of the Week as announced by the conference office on Monday afternoon.

The third-year Falcons notched five points on two goals and one assist for the Green and Gold in Fitchburg State's 3-3, double overtime draw with Westfield State on Saturday as Coelho found the back of the net for first two goals for Fitchburg State, before assisting on the third.

The Fitchburg State men's soccer team returns to action on Wednesday as they host the Anchormen of Rhode Island College in non-conference action, starting at 4:00 PM.
