Falcons Compete at DIII New England Championship

Middlebury, VT. – The Fitchburg State University men's indoor track & field team competed at the 2021-22 DIII New England Championships at the Virtue Field House, hosted by Middlebury College. 

How It Happened

Junior Eric Shimiyimana (Worcester, Mass.)  led the Falcons with a 5^th place finish in the triple jump with a mark of 13.79 meters.

In the 60 meter dash junior Nathaniel Felix (Worcester, Mass.) finished in 8^th place with a time of 7.47 seconds, Felix had set a personal best (7.00 seconds) in the prelims. Felix also turned in a 6^th place finish in the 400 meters with a mark of 51.47.

Sophomore Nicholas Zeoli (Plymouth, Mass.) turned in a solid performance for the Green and Gold in the shot put, placing 16^th with a toss of 13.02 meters.

Shimiyimana and Felix earned All-New England honors.
