Bourassa Notches MASCAC MOTK Rookie And Field Athlete Of The Week Honors

Shirley, Mass. native collects seventh weekly honor of the season 

Fitchburg, Mass. – Fitchburg State freshman Liam Bourassa (Shirley, Mass.) was recently selected both Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Men's Outdoor Track Rookie and Field Athlete of the Week as announced by the conference office on Tuesday.

The first-year Falcon picks up his sixth and seventh weekly honors on the season after finishing second overall in the javelin with a throw of 60.50 meters at the MIT Last Chance qualifier on Thursday.

The Fitchburg State Men's Outdoor Track and Field team returns to action this week as select members compete at the 2023 NCAA DIII Outdoor Track & Field National Championships, starting on Thursday, hosted by the University of Rochester.
