Ferrazzani Selected MASCAC Softball Co-Pitcher Of The Week
North Reading, Mass. native earns first weekly accolade of the season
FITCHBURG, Mass. – Sophomore pitcher Terri Ferrazzani was tabbed Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Softball Co-Pitcher of the Week as announced by the conference office on Monday afternoon.
Ferrazzani collects her first MASCAC weekly honor of the season after going 2-1 with one save and 20 K's, while posting an ERA of 2.41 over 20.1 innings of work in seven appearances for the Green and Gold.
The second-year Falcon pitched a complete game, four hitter with a career-best 11 strikeouts in a 5-0 shutout victory against Gordon College on Monday before pitching one and third innings of relief to pick up her first collegiate save in a 4-2 win over the Coast Guard Academy on Friday afternoon.
The Fitchburg State softball team (5-4, 0-0 MASCAC) returns to action on Saturday as it travels to Eastern Nazarene College to take on the Lions for a double header, starting at 1 p.m.
