Orlowski Tabbed MASCAC Rookie of the Week

Ellington, Conn. native earns first weekly accolade of the season

Fitchburg, Mass. – Fitchburg State freshman Nicole Orlowski (Ellington, Conn.) was recently selected Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Women's Lacrosse Rookie of the Week as announced by the conference office on Monday afternoon.

The first year Falcon earns her first weekly honor of the year after registering seven points on six goals and one assist as well as three ground balls, four draw controls and two caused turnovers in a 2-0 week for the Green and Gold.

Nicole netted three goals, one ground ball, two draw controls and two caused turnovers in a 16-12 triumph over UMass Dartmouth on Tuesday before adding three goals, one helper, two ground balls and two draw controls in a 21-7 victory against Regis College on Friday.

The Fitchburg State Women's Lacrosse Team (4-2) returns to action tomorrow as they host the Spartans of Castleton University for a non-conference matchup, starting at 5:00 PM.
