Falcons Conclude 2022 Season

Framingham, Mass. - The Fitchburg State women's lacrosse team dropped an 18-2 decision to the Rams of Framingham State University this evening in Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) action from the Maple Street Field.

How It Happened

Framingham State took a 2-0 edge on goals from senior Tara Palermo (Mashpee, Mass.) and freshman Leah Green (Chelmsford, Mass.) before Fitchburg State cut the lead to 2-1 as senior Julia Miele (South Hadley, Mass.) found the back of the net.

The Rams went on a 6-0 run to take an 8-1 advantage with Green notching two scores, while Palermo sophomore Regan Fein (North Attleboro, Mass.), classmate Rachel Erickson (Dunstable, Mass.) and junior Kyra Lyons (Attleboro, Mass.) added markers.

The hosts upped its lead to 15-1 in the second quarter, paced by a pair of goals from Green and Palermo.

Following the intermission, Framingham State pushed the advantage to 17-1 with Lyons and newcomer Molly Lanier (Tyngsboro, Mass.) connecting on tallies. The Falcons closed out the scoring in the fourth quarter when freshman Alexis Raymond (Tewksbury, Mass.) netted her 11th goal on the campaign, resulting in the 18-2 final.
