Cambridge, Mass. – The Fitchburg State Women's Soccer team suffered a tough 3-0 setback to the Lynx of Lesley University this evening in a non-conference action

How It Happened

Lesley grabbed the lead in the 36th minute as senior Chloe Kouyoumdjian (La Canada, Calif.) connected on opening score off an assist from senior Claire Hounslow (Westborough, Mass.) for the 1-0 edge. The Green and Gold threatened in the first half as newcomer Hannah Cravedi (Baldwinsville, Mass.) put three shots on goal but Lynx keeper Lauren Lacy (Colorado Springs, CO) turned aside the attempts.

The Lynx doubled their advantage (2-0) in the 66th minute of action when Juliana Rossini (Sonoma, Calif.) gathered a crossing feed from Kouyoumdjian for the tally. The hosts secured the victory late in the stanza with Kouyoumdjian notching her second goal of the game, resulting in the 3-0 final.

  • The Lynx held a 31-4 margin in shots, while also registering an 8-1 edge in corner kicks
  • Freshman Abaigeal Gilman (Clinton, Mass.) made 13 saves for Fitchburg State in the setback
