Fitchburg, Mass. – The Fitchburg State women's soccer team dropped a 7-0 decision to the Owls of Westfield State this afternoon on senior day in Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) action from Elliot Field.

How It Happened
Fitchburg State nearly opened the scoring in the 16th minute of action when sophomore Maddie Hippert (Leicester, Mass.) headed a shot on frame, but Westfield State keeper Lauryn Davis (Templeton, Mass.) made the save.
Westfield State grabbed the lead roughly one minute later as junior Kylee Murphy (Haverhill, Mass.) collected a feed from senior Jenn Rennich (Bedford, Mass.), who deosited a shot into the right side of the net for her second goal of the year
The Owls doubled their advantage at the 42:42 mark when Rennich fired a shot just inside the left post for her tenth marker of the 2021 campaign to make the score 2-0 going into the break.
Following the intermission, Westfield State secured the victory in the 56th minute with freshman Delaney Parker (Orange, Mass.) settled a feed from Rennich and lofted a shot into the upper right corner for her team-leading 24th score of the season, resulting in the 6-0 final.
