Bailey Earns MASCAC WOTK Field Athlete of the Week

 Maple Grove, Minn. native nets second weekly honor of the season 

Fitchburg, Mass. – Fitchburg State sophomore Ephemian Bailey (Maple Grove, Minn. was recently tabbed Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Women's Outdoor Field Athlete of the Week as announced by the conference office on Tuesday.

The second year Falcon picks up her second weekly accolade on the year after finishing fourth overall in the discus with a new school record, personal best and DIII New England qualifying toss of 38.61 meters, surpassing the previous mark of 36.88 meters by Karen Duggan (1984).

Bailey added a fourth place (PR), DIII New England qualifying mark of 11.51 meters in the shotput, while finishing 33rd overall in the hammer throw with a personal best throw of 24.18 meters in the hammer throw for the Green and Gold at the 2023 Silfen Invitational, hosted by Connecticut College this past weekend.

The Fitchburg State Women's Outdoor Track and Field team returns to action on Saturday as they compete at the 2023 Shane Collier Invitational, hosted by MIT.
