Westfield, Mass. – The Fitchburg State University women's cross country team placed 22nd overall with a total of 610 points at the 2018 James Early Memorial Invitational, hosted by Westfield State University.

Fitchburg State was paced by senior Amy Kelly (Stoughton, Mass./Stoughton), who placed 18th overall with a time 19:28.73 over the 5k course, while freshman Nyasia Torres (Fitchburg, Mass./Fitchburg) entered the chute with a time of 23:51.94.
Newcomer Savannah Wojcik (Belchertown, Mass./Belchertown) was next to cross the finish line with a time of 23:53.34, while senior Jennifer Desilvestre (Beverly, Mass./Beverly) followed with a time 24:09.64, Rounding out the top efforts for the Green and Gold was sophomore Rebbecca O'Brien (Methuen, Mass./Woburn) with a time of 26:43.51.
