Falcons Soar at NCAA D3 Regionals
Boston, Mass. – The Fitchburg State University women's cross country team finished the 2021 season racing at the NCAA D3 East Regional Cross Country Championships at Franklin Park hosted by Suffolk University

How It Happened
Junior Abigail Murphy (Quincy, Mass.) paced Fitchburg State with a solid time of 25:40 good for 71st place over the 6K layout, while classmate Lilah McAndrew (Old Lyme, Conn.) was next in 92nd crossing the chute with a time of 26:39.
Freshman Joy Wambui (Danvers, Mass.) followed with a time of 28:25, while senior Meryem Majaoudou (Ayer, Mass.) notched a time of 29:32 for the Green and Gold. Junior Erin Maida (Danbury, Conn.) finished the course with a time of 31:51 and junior Courtney Brouillet (Fitchburg, Mass.) rounded out the scoring for the Falcons with a time of 39:21.
