Women’s Cross Country Excel At NCAA DIII NE Regional Championships

Hopkinton, NH – The Fitchburg State University women's cross country team placed 30th overall at the 2023 NCAA DIII New England Regional Championships with a total of 860 points at the Hopkinton Fair Grounds.

How It Happened
Sophomore Skye Goba (Norton, MA) led the way for the Falcons, placing 83rd overall with a time of 24:18.96 over the 6K course, while freshman Alexis Toste (Dracut, MA) was next for the Green and Gold with a time of 29:36.96.
Senior Erin Donelan (Fitchburg, MA) followed with a time of 32:12.00, while sophomore Cassandra Israelson (Saugus, MA) entered the chute at 33:49.05. Senior Stephanie Piar (Shrewsbury, MA) rounded out the top efforts for Fitchburg State on the day with a time of 34:12.49.
