Amaral Named MASCAC Runner of the Week
Tewksbury, Mass. native earns second consecutive weekly accolade
FITCHBURG, Mass. – Junior Brian Amaral was recently named Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Men's Cross Country Runner of the Week as announced by the conference office on Monday morning.
Amaral collects his second straight weekly honor after leading the Green and Gold to a first place finish at the 2016 Bantam Trinity Invitational after placing second overall with a time of 16:24 over the 5K layout.
The Fitchburg State men's cross country team returns to action on Saturday as it completes in the 2016 Corsairs Invitational, hosted by UMass Dartmouth for a meet starting at 11 a.m.
