Amaral Earns MASCAC Men’s Cross Country Runner Of The Week
Tewskbury, Mass. native collects fifth weekly honor of the season
FITCHBURG, Mass. – Junior Brian Amaral was recently named Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Men's Cross Country Runner of the Week as announced by the conference office on Monday morning.
Amaral collects his second straight and fifth overall weekly honor of the season after placing tenth with a time of 25:56.83 for the Falcons over the 8K course to lead the Fitchburg State men's cross country team to a fifth place finish at the 2016 James Early Invitational, hosted by Westfield State University on Saturday.
The Fitchburg State men's cross country team returns to action on Friday as it completes in the 2016 Saints Invite, hosted by Emmanuel College at Franklin Park in Boston for a meet starting at 4 p.m.
