Athletics & Recreation Operations Updates
The Department of Athletics & Recreation is currently abiding by state and university guidelines in response to the coronavirus and as a result all staff are working remotely. We are making every effort to continue regular services to our student-athletes, recruits, and anyone else that usually does business with us.
To our student-athletes, please let us know if you have any questions or concerns during this time and frequently check your email for updates from the university.

THE UNIVERSITY
Fitchburg State University is providing regular updates through our university website at the following link. Click HERE for the primary source of information for all updates;
FACILITIES
At this time, all athletic facilities are closed. This includes all outdoor fields, the recreation center and Landry Arena. The Wallace Civic Center is also closed. All MASCAC spring sports and practices have been cancelled. In addition, there are no intramurals, club sports, or recreation activities at this time.
RECRUITS
To all recruits, we are not currently able to meet with you on or off campus. However, all of our coaches are checking email, making phone calls and staying in touch with recruits. There are a lot of ways to use technology to continue the recruitment process so please stay in touch with our coaches!

ATHLETIC TRAINNG
UNIFORM COLLECTION
Student-athletes are financially responsible for all team issued gear. We understand that a number of barriers currently exist that may prevent you from returning gear and we will be working with each student-athlete on a solution. Please email Rick Terrio, rterrio1@fitchburgstate.edu or your head coach and we will provide options for you.

PROSPECT CLINICS - POSTPONED
Currently all facilities are closed. Therefore all sport prospect clinics have been postponed indefinitely. Please check back to www.fitchburgfalcons.com for further updates. If you have already signed-up for the clinics, the department will be issuing refunds for anyone that registered.

MASCAC CANCELS ALL SPRING CONTESTS (3/16)
The Massachusetts State Universities and the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) have been monitoring the COVID-19 outbreak. Given the increasing number of confirmed cases and restrictions on the size of gatherings and school closures, the MASCAC would not be able to provide a meaningful student-athlete experience.
As such with heavy hearts, the MASCAC will cancel the spring season and championships. Please continue to follow CDC and government recommendations and stay safe.
ATHLETIC BANQUET
In conjunction with the postponement and cancellation of all in-person student activities this spring semester, due to the public health threat of the COVID-19 virus, the senior athletic banquet that was to be held on May 4th has been cancelled.
Fitchburg State understands that this is unfortunate to the seniors and student-athletes that would have been honored, as well as their families and peers who would have been in attendance on this special day. Our seniors have given so much to our athletic department and we are committed to honoring all of them during these challenging times.
Keep checking our social media and athletic department website for updates on the ways we will continue to celebrate the achievements of our student-athletes.
RECREATION SERVICES
During this time of uncertainty, it is important to take care of yourself - physically, mentally, & emotionally. With the campus transitioning to online learning, we will be providing some helpful links, ideas, etc. from our Recreation Services social media accounts.
STRENGTH & CONDITIONING
