Megan Jacobs
2024 Inductee - 2011 Graduate
As a student at Fitchburg State, Megan was a force on the field. Playing field hockey for all four years, she collected many accolades. In 2010, she was chosen for the Second Team All-Conference and in 2011, she was selected to the Fiirst Team All-Conference. She also holds a number of records at Fitchburg State. She is first in All-Time Goals at 55 and first in Career Points at 135. She is also third in All-Time Assists with 25. If that wasn't enough, Jacobs also playeed Women's Basketball in the winter season.
After graduating with a bachelors degree, she worked n childcare at Bright Horizons for many years, whe she bacame assistant director. Upon realizing her heart was in the classroom, she moved to CT, where she attended graduate school at Southern CT State University and recieved her masters degree in Elementary Education. It was a big year for her in 2019, where she recieved her masters degree, got married and started her first teaching job in CT. She taught at a few different schools after that and finally has the best year when she was hired in New Britain and she had her son Greyson in 2023. She is currently teaching third grade in New Britain and living her dream home with her spouse, their son and two dogs.
