Jeff Moda - 2001 Inductee

This former member of the U.S. National Bobsled team was a two-time All-American and four-time captain on Pearl Street in the sport of track and field. As a freshman, Moda won the New England Division III and ECAC Championships in the 55-meter dash. One year later, Moda was an All-American on the indoor 4x400m relay team, while also winning the ECAC 55-meter sprint for the second-straight year. He also placed second in both the 100m and 200m indoor sprints at the New England Division III Championship. The 1989-90 outdoor track season brought another All-American performance (second place, 200m), while he also placed second and fourth in the New England Division III 200- and 100-meter championships, respectively.

As a junior, he won three events in the New England Division III Championships - 200m indoors (Bowdoin College facility record), and both 100- and 200-meter sprints in the outdoor campaign. Moda also placed second in the 55m indoor sprint at the New England Div. III, while winning three events at the outdoor MASCAC Championship (100m, 200m, 4x100m relay). To cap his career, Moda won the New England Division III 200-meter sprint in both the indoor and outdoor seasons, while also winning the 55m sprint at the same New England indoor meet. He was also a member of the first FSC outdoor MASCAC Championship team since 1982. After college, Moda was invited to the 1994 Olympic bobsled trials for the Lillehammer Olympic Games, while also qualifying for the Europa Cup Circuit (fourth-place finish).
