Steve Mager - 1997 Inductee

The ultimate team player, Mr. Mager was a four year starter who played in all 95 of his team's game during his career. He is FSC's all-time leading scorer with 1973 points, and all-time leading rebounder with 1304 boards.

His impact on the Falcon basketball program is demonstrated by the fact that he was named team MVP all four years. Mr. Mager was also team captain as a junior and senior.

The 1972 New England All-Star averaged 20.8 points and 13.7 rebounds for his brilliant career. Three times he averaged over 20 points and three times averaged over 14 rebounds in a season. He was also selected to play in the Senior Hall of Fame All-Star game in 1974.

Mr. Mager has been a school teacher for the past 23 years, seven years in Fitchburg and the last 16 years in Fredericksburg, Virginia. He and his wife Jeanne have two daughters ? Stephanie (19) and Katie (16).
