In the sixth, Fitchburg State plated a pair as Ewing blasted his third hit of the day with a liner to left, while Alexander paced a five run eighth with his third homerun of the season.
Freshman John Chase (Glastonbury, Conn./Glastonbury) earned the victory in relief for the Falcons (1-1), scattering seven hits and two runs over 3.2 innings of work.
