Fitchburg State Baseball Supports March Of Dimes Program

Falcons set up home concession stand with all proceeds benefits the March of Dimes

FITCHBURG, Mass. (April 17, 2014) – The Fitchburg State baseball team will be supporting the March of Dimes Program and the ‘Walk For Babies’ throughout the upcoming week as the Falcons are set to host five home games at Riccards Field.

The March of Dimes Program is a program focused on improving the health of babies by preventing birth defects, premature birth and infant mortality. Each year, 13 million babies are born prematurely worldwide and programs like the March of Dimes are constantly working towards life-saving research that helps mothers complete full-term pregnancies.

With the help of local business partner, SuperFans Deli & Pizzeria (356 Main St. Fitchburg, MA), the Fitchburg State baseball team will be setting up a concession stand at its five home games over the week with all proceeds directly benefitting the March of Dimes program and team ‘Courageous Cam.’

The fundraiser will begin today as the Falcons square off against Daniel Webster College at 3:30 p.m. and will follow up with Bridgewater State University on Monday (1pm), Eastern Nazarene College on Wednesday (3:30pm) and Becker College on Thursday (3:30 pm).
