Cuddahy collects Player of the Week; Lefebvre tabbed Rookie of the Week
FITCHBURG, Mass. – Sophomore Brennan Cuddahy was recently selected Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Baseball Player of the Week, while freshman Brandon Lefebvre earned MASCAC and Baseball Rookie of the Week honors as announced by the league office on Monday afternoon.
Cuddahy collects his first weekly accolade on the season after batting .500 (5-for-10) with a double, home run, seven runs scored and four RBI in a 2-2 week for the Falcons. Combined for four hits, including a double, a home run, six runs scored and three RBI in a sweep over Anna Maria College before adding a hit and an RBI in a 6-5 setback to WPI.
Lefebvre picks up his first weekly honor of the year after batting .300 (3-for-10) with a double, five runs scored and six RBI in a 2-2 week for the Falcons. Went 3-for-5 with a double, four runs scored, four walks and six RBI in a sweep of Anna Maria College before adding three walks and one run scored in a 6-5 setback to WPI.
The Fitchburg State baseball team (6-13, 0-2 MASCAC) returns to action on Thursday as it travels to Dean College to take on the Bulldogs in a non-conference match-up, first pitch is slated for 3:30 p.m.
