Lefebvre Named MASCAC Baseball Rookie Of The Week
Leominster, Mass. native picks up second weekly honor on the season
FITCHBURG, Mass. – Fitchburg State freshman infielder Brandon Lefebvre was selected Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Baseball Rookie of the Week as announced by the conference office on Monday afternoon.
The first-year Falcon collects his second weekly honor of the year after batting .385 (5-for-13) with six runs scored, one double, seven runs batted in and two stolen bases in a 2-2 week for the Green and Gold.
Lefebvre went 2-for-4 with a double, two runs scored and four RBI in an 18-2 win over Rivier University on Tuesday evening before combining to go 3-for-6 with three runs scored, three RBI and two steals in a conference split with MCLA on Friday afternoon.
Fitchburg State (11-16, 4-4 MASCAC) returns to action on Friday as it travels to Dean College to take on the Bulldogs for a contest starting at 3:30 PM.
