Falcons Name Three To MASCAC Baseball All-Conference Teams

Cordeau, Cuddahy and Towle collect MASCAC All-Conference honors

FITCHBURG, Mass. – Freshman Nicholas Cordeau (Melrose, Mass.), sophomore Brennan Cuddahy (Leominster, Mass.) and newcomer Ryan Towle (Melrose, Mass.) earned Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) All-Conference Second Team honors as announced by the conference office on Wednesday afternoon.

Cordeau picks up his first MASCAC All-Conference accolade after posting a .304 batting average with 34 hits, five doubles, five triples, two home runs, 24 runs scored, 22 RBI and a team-best nine stolen bases, while Cuddahy also earns his first MASCAC All-Conference honor after hitting .258 (24-of-96), including seven doubles, one triple, three home runs, 20 RBI, ten runs scored and 18 walks in 31 contests for the Green and Gold.

Joining Cordeau and Cuddahy on the 2018 MASCAC Baseball All-Conference Second Team was Towle, who witnessed a breakout rookie campaign on the mound for the Falcons. The first-year hurler registered a team-best 1.53 ERA with 67 strikeouts in 59.0 innings of work with a record of 5-2 in ten appearances for Fitchburg State.

The Fitchburg State University Baseball team recently concluded its 2018 campaign with an overall record of 13-17-2 and a 6-7-1 clip in conference play.
