Falcons Name Trio To MASCAC Baseball All-Conference Teams

Eramo, Morehouse & Malek collect MASCAC honors

FITCHBURG, Mass. – The Fitchburg State baseball team named three members to the 2022 Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) All-Conference Teams as announced by the conference office on Wednesday afternoon.

Senior Vincent Eramo (Shirley, Mass.) and junior Connor Morehouse (Wetherby Lake, Mo.) were selected to the MASCAC All-Conference First Team, while junior Zachary Malek (Schenectady, N.Y.) earned MASCAC All-Conference Second Team honors.

Eramo picks up his second MASCAC All-Conference honor after posting a .400 batting avergage (56-for-140) with ten doubles, one triple, seven home runs, 33 runs scored, 34 RBI, four steals and eight walks, while Morehouse earns his first MASCAC All-Conference accolade after hitting 52-of-146 (.356), including 16 doubles, two triples, four home runs, 37 runs scored, 28 RBI, six walks and six stolen bases.

Joining Eramo and Morehouse on the 2022 MASCAC All-Conference First Team were Scott Emerson and Jay Wladkowski from Bridgewater State, Ryan Boyle of Framingham State, Brett Velzis, Zach Sylvia, Brodey Tinkham and Brendan Baiardi from Mass. Maritime, Nick Martin and Samuel Palmer of Westfield State and from Worcester State, Ben Smith.

On the second team, Malek collected his first All-Conference accolade, batting .284 with 25 hits, six doubles, four home runs, 14 runs scored, 22 RBI, nine walks and three stolen bases for the Green and Gold.

In addition to Malek, the MASCAC All-Conference Second Team was comprised of Joe Frechette, Matt Josselyn, Matthew Seavey and Tyler Dasilva-Medeiros from Bridgewater State, Randy Adams of MCLA, Jake Boucher from Salem State, Alex Schlapak and Aidan Henderson of Mass. Maritime, Damien Maniscalco and Nolan Florence from Westfield State and from Worcester State, Sean Devin and Thomas DiBattista.

The Fitchburg State University Baseball team recently concluded its 2022 campaign with an overall record of 10-30 and a 6-15 clip in conference play.
