Eramo Named MASCAC Baseball Player Of The Week

Shirley, Mass. Native notches first weekly honor of the season 

FITCHBURG, Mass. – Fitchburg State senior Vincent Eramo (Shirley, Mass.) was named Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Baseball Player of the Week as announced by the conference office on Monday afternoon.

The fourth-year Falcon collects his first weekly accolade on the year after batting .545 (6-for-11) with a double, triple, two homeruns, three runs scored, eight RBI and three stolen bases in a 4-0 week for the Green and Gold.

Eramo went 2-for-4 with two homeruns, two runs scored and five RBI in a 10-9 win over Penn State Brandywine on Saturday before finishing 4-for-4 with a double, triple, one run scored and three RBI in a 10-6 victory against Carthage College on Sunday. Vincent also added a trio of walks and three stolen bases in a 6-2, game two triumph against Gordon College on Friday.

The Fitchburg State Baseball Team (4-0, 0-0 MASCAC) returns to action today as they take on the Corsairs of UMass Dartmouth in day four action of the 2023 RussMatt Invitational, starting at 2:30PM.
