Koza Selected MASCAC Baseball Rookie Of The Week
Windham, N.H. native earns first weekly accolade on the year
FITCHBURG, Mass. – Fitchburg State freshman Adam Koza (Windham, N.H.) was named Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Baseball Rookie of the Week as announced by the conference office on Monday afternoon.
The first-year Falcon notches his first weekly honor of the season after hitting .333 (2-for-6) with a double, three RBI, three runs scored and a stolen base in a 4-0 week for the Green and Gold.
Koza collected his first collegiate hit, including an RBI and two runs scored in a 10-9 win over Penn State Brandywine on Saturday, while adding a double, two RBI, one run scored and a stolen base in a 10-6 triumph against Carthage College on Sunday.
The Fitchburg State Baseball Team (4-0, 0-0 MASCAC) returns to action today as they take on the Corsairs of UMass Dartmouth in day four action of the 2023 RussMatt Invitational, starting at 2:30PM.
