How It Happened

In the bottom of the first inning, sophomore Jacob Hurrell (Haverhill, Mass.) belted his second home run of the season over the right field fence to cap a three-run inning for the Falcons.

Lesley plated a run in the second with an RBI single from Christian McElroy (Toms River, NJ) to cut the deficit to 3-1. However, the Falcons would extend the lead (5-1) with a single to right center off the bat of Vincent Eramo (Shirley, Mass.) scoring Jamie Velez (Lowell, Mass.) and Maxwell Riordan (Pepperell, Mass.).

The Green and Gold upped the advantage (8-1) with three runs in the fourth. Freshman Adam Koza (Windham, NH) and Hurrell delivered RBI hits.

Lesley battled back to take a 9-8 lead, scoring 4 runs each in the seventh and eighth innings. Junior James Brandon (Manhattan Beach, CA.). had the big hit with a 3-run home run to left field.
