Juniors Elizear Torres (Bronx, N.Y.) and Talib Barksdale (Hudson, N.Y.) were also named to the MASCAC All-Conference team, claiming first team honors at both defensive back and linebacker, while sophomore Taron Seaforth (Lynn, Mass.), junior Brendan Coan (Westbrook, Conn.) and junior Steph’fon Teague (Fitchburg, Mass.) all garnered second team awards.

This season, Dellechiaie witnessed a solid rookie campaign, breaking the program’s single season TD pass mark with 25 touchdowns, a record that was previously held by Jim Miller (21) in 2008. A two-time MASCAC Rookie of the Week, the standout quarterback finished with 1930 yards passing on 149-of-249 throwing (59.8%), while also adding 26 yards rushing for two scores.

Defensively, Torres and Barksdale anchored Fitchburg State all season, combining for 125 tackles, four interceptions and 7.5 tackles for a loss (TFL’s). Seaforth was also solid in the defensive backfield for Fitchburg State, brining in a team-best, four interceptions and 40 stops, while offensively, Teague added a team-high 807 yards rushing and five TD’s. Coan earns his honor after a strong season at the left tackle. He helped paced the Falcons to over 364 yards per game with 14 TD’s rushing and 25 scores passing.
