Fitchburg State Football Represents Falcons at the McKay PTO Reading Night
Coan and Schiavone represent Falcons as part of the McKay PTO Reading Night
FITCHBURG, Mass. (November 14, 2013) – Junior lineman Brendan Coan (Westbrook, Conn.) and freshman lineman Maxwell Schiavone (Poughkeepsie, N.Y.) accompanied by Freddie the Falcons recently represented the Fitchburg State football team as part of the McKay PTO Reading Night at the Barnes and Noble in Leominster on Friday November 8th.
Brendan and Max each selected a book to read to the group and interact with the children during the story. This represents a good example of community service that the Fitchburg State student athletes provide and hope to continue to develop as part of the reading program with the McKay campus.
The Fitchburg State football team returns to action on Saturday as it hosts the Panthers of Plymouth State for a 1 p.m. kickoff.
