Falcons Land Fourth Straight MASCAC Play of the Week
WESTFIELD, Mass. - Fitchburg State made it four in a row with the top play in the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference Football Fan Play of the Week voting.
The Falcons amassed 68 percent of the vote to take home the top spot for the fourth week in a row. Joining them as the week five nominees were Framingham State, Western Connecticut State and Westfield State who all won their respective contests over the weekend.
In the 26-21 win over Massachusetts Maritime, Fitchburg State's Garrett Dellechiaie fielded the high snap, shooting it across the middle to tight end Devin Summiel who grabbed the ball that was tipped in the air then catched it again to run it in for the 48 yard touchdown.
Fitchburg State will be back in action this Saturday as they travel to Worcester State at 12:00pm.
