Football Names Pair To NEFWA All-Star Team
Feliz and Summiel earn NEFWA accolades
FITCHBURG, Mass. – Senior linebacker Luis Feliz and junior tight end Devin Summiel were recently named to the 2015 New England Football Writers Association (NEFWA) Division II/III All-Star Team as announced on Monday morning.
Feliz paced a Falcons defense that led the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) that limited opponents to 15.3 points per contest, while posting a team-leading 89, including 60 solo stops to along five sacks, one fumble forced, two fumbles recovered and one interception.
On the offensive side of the ball, Summiel totaled 53 catches for a team-leading 756 yards receiving and 12 touchdowns to set a new Fitchburg State single season record with those 12 TD receptions for the Falcons.
The Fitchburg State football team concluded the 2015 with an overall record of 8-3 and a 6-2 mark within MASCAC play.
