In addition to this national honor, Feliz was also named to the 2015 Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) All-Conference First Team as well as being named to the 2015 New England Writers D-II/D-III All-Star Team, while also named a first team pre-season All-American linebacker back.

In 2011, the event absorbed the NCAA DII Cactus Bowl, which began in 1995 as the Snow Bowl in the Fargo Dome before moving to Texas in 2000. The 2012 game was the first to include NCAA DI-AA (FCS) as well as NAIA players. With the demise of the Casino Del Sol and Texas vs The Nation as well as the transition of the Raycom Bowl into the Camelia Bowl, NCAA Division I (CFP) players were added in 2013.

The USA College Football Bowl is the only game that has contractual agreements with pro football leagues that guarantee over 30 roster slots for its participants in pre-season camps and/or regular season pro contracts.

The Fitchburg State football team concluded the 2015 season with an overall record of 8-3 and a 6-2 clip in the MASCAC.
