Fitchburg State Football To Be Represented At 2016 Globe Bowl

Bienaime, Feliz and Seaforth-Howard selected to participate at 2016 Globe Bowl

FITCHBURG, Mass. – Fitchburg State seniors Luis Feliz, Tevin Bienaime and Taron Seaforth-Howard were selected to participate in the 2nd annual USA College Football Bowl to be played at Salisbury Township Football Stadium in Allentown, Penn. on Sunday, April 3rd at 10:30 a.m.

Feliz collected a team-leading 89 tackles, including 60 solo stops and 29 assisted tackles as well as five sacks, one fumble forced, two fumbles recovered and an interception during the 2015 campaign, while Tevin wrapped up the 2015 season, registering 22 stops with 13 solo tackles and nine assisted stops to go along with a pair of interceptions and six passes defended.

Seaforth-Howard also helped anchor a Falcons defense that led the MASCAC in defensive points allowed with 15.3 points allowed per contest. Taron concluded the 2015 campaign, ranking eighth on the team with 33 tackles on 28 solo stops and five assisted tackles as well as one sack, one fumble recovered, six passed defended and a team-leading four interceptions.

The Globe Bowl is an annual post-season football all-star game featuring standout college seniors and pro free agents. The inaugural Globe Bowl will be played in April 12, 2015 at Salisbury Township Football Stadium in Allentown, PA. The Globe Bowl will feature the 5th annual National Pro Day Scouting Combine on the initial report day featuring a pro style NFL combine. The National Bowl event company returns to the Lehigh Valley after starting the renowned National Bowl there in 2010 before moving to Miami, FL. The Globe Bowl will feature a full roster of 100 players and feature National Bowl Coaches and scouts from around the Globe including the CFL, Arena, and European Scouts. The Globe Bowl will be played annually in the spring of each year to give players a final chance to gain film and exposure before the NFL & CFL drafts.

In addition to the Globe Bowl, the National Pro Day, which had partnered with the Globe Bowl will take place on Friday, April 1st at the Game Time Fieldhouse in Breiningsville, Penn. from 9:00am through 1 p.m. 2016 will make the sixth Annual National Pro Day Combine, which started in 2009 as the DII/DIII Pro Day and has expanded to include NAIA, FCS and Free Agent Pro Players.

The Fitchburg State football team concluded the 2015 season with an overall record of 8-3 and a 6-2 clip in the MASCAC.
