Ludwig Selected MASCAC Special Teams Player of the Week

Fort, Myers, Fla. native earns first weekly honor of the season

FITCHBURG, Mass. – Senior place kicker/punter Christopher Ludwig was named Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Football Special Teams Player of the Week as announced by the conference office on Sunday afternoon.

Ludwig collects his first weekly accolade of the season after going 2-for-2 on PAT attempts as well as kicking a 21-yard field goal, which proved to be the game winner, while also punting seven times for 259 yards for an average of 37 yards per punt with two punts inside the 20 in the Falcons 17-14 win over Western Connecticut State on Saturday.

The Fitchburg State football team (3-4, 1-4 MASCAC) returns to action next Saturday, October 29th as it hosts the Owls of Westfield State University for a contest starting at 12 PM.
