Patrick Haverty - Head Coach (12th Season; 59-52-0)

Patrick Haverty is in his 11th season as the head coach of the Fitchburg State football team. Highly decorated, Haverty enters the 2017 season as the program all-time winningest coach with 54 victories.

In his ten years at the helm of the Falcons, Haverty transformed Fitchburg State football, guiding the Falcons to two New England Football Conference (NEFC) Bogan Division titles. He led the Falcons to back-to-back NEFC post-season berths as well as consecutive ECAC North Atlantic Bowl appearances with a pair of eight win seasons, while also guiding the Green and Gold to the 2015 ECAC Robert M "Scotty" Whitelaw Bowl as the Falcons registered it third eight win season under the helm of head coach Patrick Haverty.

In addition to his on-field accolades, Haverty has also cracked the program record books, becoming the school’s all-time and single-season wins leader during the Falcons 2004 title run. Over his tenure, Haverty has produced 19 NEFC All-Conference players, including the NEFC’s Offensive and Defensive Rookies of the Year during the 2002 campaign.

Prior to Fitchburg State, Haverty served two seasons as the head coach of the North Middlesex Regional High School football program. In addition, he also served as Offensive Coordinator at the University of Massachusetts Lowell (Division II), while also holding rank as the Falcons’ Defensive Coordinator for the 1996 and 1997 seasons.

He currently resides in Fitchburg, Mass. with his wife Susan and their three children Russ, Christopher, and Erin.
