Kelley Named LEC Offensive Player Of The Week

Pepperell, Mass. Native collects first weekly honor of the season

FITCHBURG, Mass. (September 10, 2012) – Senior Jamie Kelley (Pepperell, Mass./North Middlesex) collects her first weekly honor of the season after being named the Little East Conference’s (LEC) Offensive Player of the Week as announced by the league office Monday morning.

Kelley led the Falcons offensively, totaling ten points on four goals and two assists, including a pair of game winning tallies. Jamie registered one score and two helpers in the Falcons 3-0 victory over Becker College on Wednesday before notching a hat trick in Fitchburg State's 3-2 overtime win against conference rival Salem State on Saturday afternoon.

The Fitchburg State field hockey team will be back in action on Thursday as it visits Nichols College at 7 p.m.
