Fitchburg State Names Four To LEC All-Conference Teams
Fors, Hoffman, Morrissey and Richard collect post season honors for the Falcons
FITCHBURG, Mass. – Seniors Nicole Fors, Madeline Hoffman and Erin Morrissey as well as sophomore Molly Richard were selected to the Little East Conference (LEC) All-Conference teams this season as announced by the conference office on Tuesday afternoon.
Hoffman earned LEC All-Conference second team honors after totaling 20 points on seven goals and six assists with three game-winning tallies for the Falcons. Richard joined Hoffman on the LEC All-Conference second team, ranking first on the squad with 41 points on 18 markers and five helpers to go along with six game-winners over the 2016 campaign.
Fors also landed on the LEC All-Conference second team after registering a pair of assists for two points as well as making a pair of defensive saves for the Green and Gold, while Morrissey picked up LEC All-Conference third team honors after posting a career best 20 points with seven scores and six helpers
The Fitchburg State field hockey team recently concluded its 2016 campaign with an overall record of 13-6 and a 7-4 mark in conference play, en-route to securing the fourth seed in the 2016 LEC Field Hockey post-season tournament.
