How It Happened

Following a goal by Westfield State's Cora Rogers (Milford, N.H.), Fitchburg State senior midfielder Bailey Miller (Leominster, Mass.) collected a rebound off the stick of junior Molly Richard (Leominster, Mass.) and found the back of the net for her fourth goal on the year to knot the score at 1-1 going into the break.

In the second half, the Green and Gold quickly took the lead roughly two minutes into the frame as sophomore forward Aislinn DeHorsey (Leominster, Mass.) settled a loose ball in front of the cage and buried a shot inside the near post for her second marker of the season for the 2-1 edge.

With the score 3-2, the Falcons added an insurance goal in the 51st minute of play when Richard blasted a shot into the right side of the cage for her second goal of the contest and team-leading fifth of the year, resulting in the 4-2 final.
