Four Falcons Earn LEC All-Conference Honors

Richard, Denning, Miller and DeHorsey collect post season accolades for the Falcons

FITCHBURG, Mass. – Senior Rachael Denning (Salem, N.H.), classmate Bailey Miller (Leominster, Mass.), junior Molly Richard (Leominster, Mass.) and sophomore Aislinn DeHorsey (Leominster, Mass.) were selected to the Little East Conference (LEC) All-Conference teams this season as announced by the conference office Tuesday afternoon.

Richard led all Fitchburg State honorees after being named to LEC All-Conference second team. The third-year forward posted 28 points on 11 markers and six assists as well as four game winning tallies.

Denning earned LEC All-Conference honorable mentions after posting a conference leading four defensive saves for the Green and Gold, while adding five goals and one helper for a total of 11 points.

Miller also earned LEC All-Conference honorable mentions for the Green and Gold, posting 15 points on six markers and three assists, while DeHorsey joined Denning and Miller on the 2017 LEC All-Conference honorable mentions lists after registering a team-leading 30 points on 12 scores and six assists.

The Fitchburg State field hockey team recently concluded its 2017 campaign with an overall record of 9-8 and a 5-6 mark in conference play.
