Lamprey sets single season saves record in conference setback
Keene, N.H. – The Fitchburg State University field hockey team dropped a 5-0 decision to the Owls of Keene State College this evening in Little East Conference (LEC) action at the Owl Athletic Complex.

How It Happened
Keene State took a 1-0 lead 6:02 into the first stanza on senior Kelsey Roberts (Greenfield, Mass.) ninth tally of the season before the Owls doubled their margin (2-0) in the 21st minute of play as Roberts netted her second tally of the contest off an assist from junior Nina Bruno (Agawam, Mass.).
Following the intermission, the Keene State upped its advantage at the 36:26 mark when junior Kayla Klein (West Brookfield, Mass.) found the back of the net for her team-leading 14th marker on the year.
The hosts capped the scoring in the 54th minute of play with senior Erica Chareth (Amherst, N.H.) collected a feed from Bruno and notched her third score of the 2019 campaign, resulting in the 5-0 final.

Falcons will host the Corsairs of UMass Dartmouth on Saturday for a Little East Conference tilt, starting at 11:00 AM. Owls will travel to Southern Maine on the same date for a conference matchup at 3:00 PM.
