How It Happened
Worcester State opened the scoring at the 11:13 mark of the first quarter as junior Grace Adams (Leominster, Mass.) collected a loose ball in front of the cage and slipped a shot into the right side of the net for her second goal on the year for the 1-0 edge.

Following the break, the Lancers doubled (2-0) their advantage at the 34:16 mark with junior Zoe Atlanasopoulos (Hopedale, Mass.) settled her own rebound and struck for her third marker on the year.
Worcester State extended the lead to 4-0 at the 43:59 mark when senior Karalyn Jones (Wilbraham, Mass.) notched her team-leading fifth score of the 2022 campaign. Fitchburg State found the back of the cage ten minutes later as senior Grace Kerr (Holliston, Mass.) received a feed from freshman Lena Kassel (Stuttgart, Germany) and classmate Olivia Narkevicius (Phillipston, Mass.) and tipped home a shot for her fourth of the season, resulting in the 4-1 final.
